A magistrate court sitting in Ado-Ekiti has granted human rights activist Dele Farotimi bail in the sum of N30 million.
The bail conditions include a N30 million bond, two sureties (one of whom must be a property owner), the submission of his passport, and a restriction on granting media interviews.
Farotimi had earlier been granted N50m bail by a Federal High Court in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, in a case filed against him by the police over alleged cybercrime.
The High Court had asked Farotimi to deposit his International Passport with the court.
It is not clear how he will be able to meet the new bail condition since his international passport has already been submitted to another court as a condition for his bail.
