Controversial politician and ex-Senator who represented Kogi Central in the National Assembly, Dino Melaye has faulted the retirement of Bishop David Abioye from the Living Faith church, wondering why the older Bishop David Oyedepo is still in service.
The 63 years old Bishop Abioye was retired from the service of the church in line with the revised Mandate of the church, while the Founder, Bishop Oyedepo who is already 70 years old retains the privilege of the position of lifelong service. For Dino, that is contradictory. He said it is the contradiction that made him snub this year’s Shiloh, an annual gathering of Living Faith church members in Ota, Ogun State.
Hear him: “I did not attend Shiloh 2024. Because Shiloh without Bishop Abioye is somehow. I can’t understand why Bishop Oyedepo, who is older, is not retired, and it is Bishop Abioye who is younger that should be forcefully retired. God did not retire Abioye, only Oyedepo did. Let’s watch…”
