David Adeleke, aka Davido, has revealed his plan for the artistes signed to Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), his record label.
The Afrobeats star recently partnered with United Masters, a US distribution company, to launch Nine+ Records, a new label.
Davido said he aims to expand the label beyond Afrobeats to reach global audiences.
He also cited his passion for nurturing emerging talents and addressing the challenges of young artistes in the music industry as motivations for the partnership.
“Oh yeah, everything. R&B, trap, etc. I am going to start in Africa but I can see us going all the way,” he said.
In a post via his Twitter page, Davido said that all the artistes signed to DMW will be transferred to the new label.
“All DMW artists would be moved to Nine+ Records. Clearing the air,” he said.
In April 2016, the singer established DMW.
