Davido has released a new video for the song of his signee, Logos Olori, to replace the initial one which caused an uproar among Muslims in the North.
Davido had in July, released the music video of Jaye Lo, the works of Logos Lori, whose real name is Olamilekan Emeka Taiwo.
The video angered Muslims, especially in the North, because it showed a group of men ostensibly in a Muslim prayer session in front of a Mosque, who suddenly turned their prayer into a dancing grove.
Muslims faulted the video because according to them, the mosque is not where such social activities occur.
The lyrics of Jaye Lo attempt to show how a poor fellow becomes a house owner and made fortunes, which is attributed. But because the lyrics of the song have some Islamic wordings, the video was conceived with a Mosque which is symbolic of Islam in the background.
The video trailer has now been replaced with a posh area with wealth on display.
In a tweet on Friday, Davido said: “The official visuals to @logosolori Jaye Lo single Out Now!!! 30BG let’s run it up!!! This video too swag abeg!! Olori Gbemidebe 🔥🔥🔥2.0 ACTIVATED !!”
