The All Progressives Congress (APC) says it is not moved by the press conference held by Atiku Abubakar in the heat of controversies surrounding the Chicago State University certificate presented by the president to the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC)
Stating this in a statement released in the aftermath of Atiku’s world press conference that held on Thursday, the ruling party said that Atiku’s address lacked purpose and that his press conference delivered nothing except the pitiful regurgitation of lies, mindless distortions and deliberate falsehood.
The party argued that Atiku’s move to address the press was a contempt of the highest court by making public comments on a matter that he has submitted to the court for adjudication.
“The All Progressives Congress (APC) is unfazed by the press conference addressed by former Vice President and Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar earlier today. The press conference lacked purpose and delivered nothing except the pitiful regurgitation of lies, mindless distortions and deliberate falsehood on his infantile obsession with the academic record of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” statement by Felix Morka, APC national publicity secretary read.
“We believe Atiku should have known better than to demonstrate gross contempt of the highest court by making public comments on a matter that he has submitted to the court for adjudication,” the statement added.
PoliticsNow had earlier reported that Mr Abubakar warned Supreme Court Justices to do the right thing suggesting that the country’s reputation was at risk.
