Court sends man to 51 months  imprisonment for removing condom during sex with girlfriend

A man in the United Kingdom, Guy Mukendi, will spend the next 51 months imprisoned for removing his condom during a sexual encounter without the lady’s consent.

Mukendi, a 39-year-old man, had initially agreed for the sexual affair with a condom on. But midway into the sex, Mukendi removed his condom without the consent of the lady he was having the sex with. According to the lady, Mukendi ‘s action caused her trauma.

Mukendi, who is from Brixton, South London, was on Thursday, June 13, sentenced at Inner London Crown Court for his action which has been classified as a rape because what the woman consented to was sex with condom on.

The incident happened in April 2023. She reported the assault on May 9, 2023 and Mukendi was found guilty by a jury in a rare conviction on April 2, this year.

The Metropolitan Police said the victim was supported during the “extremely difficult time” as soon as she first reported the incident.

Police worked with the victim to obtain screenshots of messages Mukendi sent where he apologised for taking the condom off, and where he sought to explain his actions by saying he had not had sex in a long time.

He then deleted the messages but the screenshots contributed to securing his conviction.
