The Competition and Consumer Protection Tribunal (CCPT) on Friday ordered Multichoice Nigeria to give subscribers of the DStv and GOtv one month of free subscription.
The Justice Thomas Okosu-led three-man panel also slammed a whopping N150 million fine on Multichoice for challenging the jurisdiction of the court.
The court had barred Multichoice from increasing the cost of its DStv and GOtv packages.
Multichoice Nigeria in May flouted the order of the court and went ahead to hike the subscription rates for its DStv and GOtv packages.
