Buhari will handover to Tinubu – Presidency
The Presidency says the Transition Committee, made up of representatives of the outgoing administration and the incoming one is working tirelessly to ensure a seamless handover to the Tinubu/Shettima Administration on May 29.
It explains that thirteen committees from the main committee have been given various assignments, ranging from the arrangement of military drills to pulling out of President Buhari, and the subsequent entry of the heads and members of the new administration.
Denouncing what it describes as outrageous and fake news, the Presidency condemns brigades of the publication for attributing a false quote to President Buhari, suggesting that he will not hand over power to the incoming administration.
A statement by the Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, wonders how the President would vigorously campaign for the incoming administration, vote for the candidate, and turn around to say he will not hand over to the victor.
It describes the source of the propaganda as pretty pathetic, since he is politically partisan in today’s politics, who lost in the presidential election.
The statement says the Daura community has begun preparations to receive their son back after the successful administration of the country for two terms of eight years, stressing that the President is eager to return home to enjoy his retirement.
