Former media aide to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, Femi Adesina, tweeted for the first time in nine months, recalling his experience at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport while travelling out of the country.
In the tweet, he said some Immigration officers gestured at him as “Buhari man. He said he responded: “Buhari for life.”
His tweet reads: “I passed through the new MMIA on my way out of the country. Squeaky clean. I was just blessing former President Muhammadu Buhari in my heart. Some Immigration officers saw me, and were shouting; ‘Buhari’s man, Buhari’s man.’ I gave them a thumbs up, and said; ‘Buhari for Life.’”
The comments under the tweet were critical of the former spokesman to Buhari who is now the Vice Chairman of the Sun Newspaper.
@DascoOlola said: “Despite the suffocation, we survived it. Despite the intimidation, we did not exchange our ancestral lands for our lives. We are still keeping both.”
The Tweep was referring to Adesina’s ‘Your life or your land’ comment.
Recall that following allegations that Fulani bandits wanted to disposes natives of their ancestral land with their frequent attacks, Adesina had said: “If you are talking about ancestral attachment, if you are dead, how does the attachment matter?”

@AdeChukwudile said: “Pastor Femi Adesina I remember how uncouth and ill-mannered you were anytime you appeared on live TV to discuss your boss and the situation of the country. Just remember that judgment day is coming and you would account for the 8 wasted years you and your boss Buhari spent.”
@godman_n said: “You are seeking to regain your voice traitor. I will start counting down for you; you will soon join the ordinary Nigerians again. All the bread eaten with Buhari will soon leave your body.”
Adesina had stayed away from Twitter after his October 31, 2022 tweet about Buhari’s trip to London for a medical checkup. He had said at the time: “President Buhari leaves for London October 31, 2022, for routine medical checkup. He returns to the country 2nd week of November, 2022.”
The reactions of Nigerians after the tweet were hard against the former presidential spokesman.
One TvslEspana had said: “This is not news and its a shame to your office. Build Nigerians Hospitals to standard grade.
@wisdomlight247 added: “When is prime minister of Uk coming to Nigeria for his medical checkup?”
