Barely 24 hours after the All Progressive Congress Senator representing Kogi East was sacked for winning the election with an insufficient margin of lead, another APC senator representing Kogi Central, Sadiku Ohere, has been sacked.
The Tribunal Election sitting in Lokoja on Wednesday sacked the APC Senator and declared Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) winner of the February 25 Kogi Central Senatorial election.
Justice K.A. Orjiakoin, the tribunal chairman in his ruling on Wednesday, said Uduaghan scored 54,064 votes to defeat his closest rival Sadiku-Ohere of the APC, who polled 51,291 votes.
He urged Ohere to pay Akpoti-Uduaghan N500,000 for the cost of the petition.
