By Joseph IbrahimA witness of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Ogun refused to use any of the Holy books to take his witness oath.The witness, Adeeso Abiodun from Sagamu Local Government took out a cutlass when asked how he intends to take his witness Oath.
The witness said he believes in the ancient gods and cutlass which represent god of iron literarily called Ogun in Yoruba which kills faster than any Holy Books.
After the tribunal allowed him to use the cutlass, he said “may god of iron help me”.Recall that at yesterday’s sitting of the Ogun governor election petition tribunal, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ladi Adebutu, who is challenging the reelection of Governor Dapo Abiodun of the All Progressives Congress (APC), presented exhibits including BVAS reports, receipts from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), among other documents.
