Four Emirs appointed by ex-Kano Governor Abdullahi Ganduje may soon find themselves with no job as the Kano State House of Assembly has passed a law scrapping their Emirates.
The affected Emirates include those of Gaya, Rano, Karaye and Bichi.
The Kano Assembly on Thursday passed a law scrapping those Emirates and returning them to districts under Kano Emirate.
It was gathered that the Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, is set to give assent to the law
Once the law is given assent by the governor, all positions created by the previous law will no longer be valid according to the new legislation.
Additionally, all district leaders promoted or assigned under the previous law are required to return to their former roles.
