Gunmen kidnap 87 residents in fresh Kaduna

Terrorists have continued to roam Kaduna abducting residents in their numbers. On Sunday, March 17, the terrorists reportedly kidnapped 87 people in the Kajuru-Station community in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The attackers were said to have invaded the village around 10pm on Sunday and whisked away with 87 residents consisting men, women and children.

This comes barely two days after 15 women and a man were abducted in the Dogon-Noma community of the same Kajuru local government.

It also came a week after over 200 students from a school in Kuriga, a town in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State were abducted and marched into a forest unchallenged. The kidnappers are now demanding N1 billion as ransom for the children’s release.

The terrorists had earlier abducted 16 residents of Gonin Gora in Kaduna State. A whopping sum of N40 trillion has been demanded by the terrorists for the release of the children.

Kaduna has now become the epicentre of kidnapping in Nigeria, with mass abduction becoming a weekly routine.

It is estimated that at least over 300 residents of Kaduna State have been abducted in the last two weeks. The government has been assuring that all the abducted individuals would be released, even as the President has ruled out payment of ransom.
