Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has officially dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Atiku announced his decision to leave the main opposition party in a letter dated July 14, 2025 and addressed to the PDP Chairman in his ward.
Atiku says his decision to quit the PDP was hinged on its current trajectory, which he says departs from the principles he stood for.
