Army declares 8 persons wanted in connection with murder of 17 soldiers 

 

 

The Nigerian Army has declared eight persons wanted in connection with the killing of 17 soldiers in the Okuama community in Delta state.

 

The Nigerian Army disclosed this in its official X handle on Thursday.

 

The persons declared wanted include seven men and one woman.

 

The full list include; Akevwru Daniel Omotegbono, Prof Ekpekpo Arthur, Andaowei Dennis Bakriki, Igoli Ebi (female), Akata Malawa David, Sinclear Oliki, Clement Ikolo Oghenerukevwe and Reuben Baru.

 

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Taoreed Lagbaja yesterday during the burial of the 17 soldiers said they were murdered by Okuama youths. 

 

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu attended the burial where he promised scholarships and houses to families of the slain soldiers.
