Hardship will get worst under Tinubu- Primate Ayodele warns
President Bola Tinubu’s administration would not find a solution to Nigeria’s economic woes, according to Primate Elijah Ayodele of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, who also advised the populace to brace themselves for further trying times.
According to a statement released by Primate Ayodele and signed by his media assistant, Osho Oluwatosin, Tinubu’s claim that he wouldn’t borrow will render many states incapable.
He stated that Nigeria’s economy will continue to be unstable for the next four years because it is a ticking time bomb that could blow up at any moment.
The man of God noted that battling corruption is one way to end economic hardship, but that Tinubu’s administration will not fight it.
Primate Ayodele also responded to the BUA chairman’s proposal to lower cement prices to N3,000. He argued that given the ongoing economic difficulties facing the nation, it is impossible for cement to be reduced to that cost.
‘’I want to advise the minister of finance and CBN governor that there is no way Nigeria will survive without borrowing. So many states will be incapacitated if the country doesn’t borrow. Nigeria’s economy is sitting on a time bomb; the government will not get the solution to economic troubles. We will continue to suffer this for four years. ‘’
‘’ The president needs so much work in the economy, if you don’t fight corruption you can’t eradicate economic hardship and I don’t see that fight happening. The CBN governor is sitting on hot seat.
‘’BUA cement said he will bring down cement to N3000, I am not seeing the possibility because things will get tougher.’’
