The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Agency has condemned reality TV star Seyi Awolowo over comments he made on Saturday night at the ongoing Big Brother Naija All-Star reality TV show.
Recall that the reality TV star was seen in a viral video clip saying he was giving birth to boys so that they could run trips on people’s daughters.
The reality TV star has continued to come under criticism for making such a distasteful statement, with netizens calling for his disqualification from the all-star show.
However, in a statement made available on its official Twitter page on Sunday, the Lagos agency strongly condemned Mr Awolowo for making such an unguarded comment.
“We strongly condemn the comments made by Seyi Awolowo in the disturbing video that has surfaced. Such remarks perpetuate harmful attitudes and contribute to a culture of violence and abuse.
“The bystanders’ passive response in the video is also deeply concerning because it only enables such behaviour to persist. It is important for us all to actively speak up in circumstances such as this,” the statement read.
