Atiku says Trump’s victory inspiring, urges him to ensure free, fair election in Nigeria

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar who contested the 2023 presidential election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has saluted the victory of Republican Nominee, Donald Trump.

 

In a post on his verified X handle, Atiku said Trump’s triumph, without a doubt, stands as an enduring testament to the resilience and vitality of the democratic process.

 

He urged the 47th elected US President to use his office to ensure a free and fair election in Nigeria.

 

The statement reads, “I closely followed the presidential election in the United States of America, watching with bated breath as the nation decided its future.

 

“It is with even greater satisfaction that I now reflect on the result, which heralds a resounding victory for President Donald Trump, @realDonaldTrump, and the Republican Party, @GOP.

 

 

“This triumph, without a doubt, will stand as an enduring testament to the resilience and vitality of the democratic process – a timeless reminder that democracy, with all its trials and tribulations, remains a force for good in the world.
