APC declares winners of local council primaries

 

Winners have been declared in the Lagos State APC chairmanship primaries for the 20 Local Government Areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs).

Hon. James Faleke, who coordinated the election, had assured candidates before the primaries of a transparent process, likening the local government primaries’ standards to those of the presidential ones.

Babatunde Ogala, the chairman of the electoral committee, also guaranteed that the primaries were free and fair.

Before participating in the voting process, over 1,500 party delegates from various council areas underwent a meticulous screening for accreditation.

As per the official results, the party has announced the confirmed candidates for these councils:

Amuwo Odofin: Sanusi Ismail

Ojo: Rufai Muibat

Lagos Island: Taiwo Oyekan

Ikorodu-North: Wale Ameen

Badagry: Hunpe Babatunde

Epe: Sura Olayemi Animashaun

Ifako-Ijaiye: Usman Hamzat

Igbogbo-Baiyeku: Olalekan Aroyewu

Ojokoro: Rossini Oluyemisi

Kosofe: Moyosore Ogunlewe
