Former governor of Rivers State and previous Minister of Transportation, RotiminAmaechi, arrived in Daura, Katsina State, to attend the funeral of former President Buhari fully dressed in traditional northern chieftaincy attire.
In 2022, Amaechi was turbaned Dan Amanar Daura by the Daura Emirate Council in Katsina state. In attending the burial of his former boss, he dressed in the regalia of the chieftaincy title.
The appearance of Amaechi in a traditional northern flowing gown has got netizens talking.
On X, @Kolaqhazim said: “Nigerian politicians are desperadoes. Subtle campaign to please the North.”
But @galadanci countered: “He’s not pleasing anyone, he has a title in Daura. No be everything be politics.”
@PeresDiyerin added: “He is a TITLED chief there and you must dress like that visiting Daura.”
@ElonaVictor said: “With this I now understand where the coalition is headed. Atiku president, Rotimi vice.Take that to the banks.”
