Aisha Yesufu, an activist and supporter of Peter Obi who was the Labour Party presidential candidate in the 2023 election, has saluted the politician for mixing up with Nigerian fans during Friday’s football encounter between Nigeria and Angola.
In a post on her X handle, Yesufu said: “We know who the Authentic President of Nigeria is. They also know who the Authentic President of Nigeria is. That we are peaceful and law abiding does not make us fools. We are not desperate. We only want a Nigeria that works for everyone. It’s POssible.”
Also, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, hailed Obi for being in the fan stand and not inside “a bulletproof cabin.”
Sharing a clip of Obi at the fans stand during the match, Charly Boy wrote on his X handle: “Nigeria vs Angola Quarter Finals, he was there live with fans, not inside a bulletproof cabin. 1-0. We move.”
