The Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, has revealed that veteran Nollywood actor, Zack Orji, is getting better.
The ailing thespian was hospitalised on Friday, after collapsing in Abuja.
He was later seen in a viral video bedridden and seemingly writhing in pain.
Zack has reportedly been grappling with fatigue for weeks, rendering him unable to talk or move.
The AGN had earlier revealed that details about Orji’s health were still sketchy. The guild also assured the public that they would notify the public of any developments.
“It is true. He is currently in the hospital. They are running tests on him,” the AGN had said.
Abubakar Yakubu, the national secretary of the AGN, disclosed that the actor’s condition has improved.
“He is getting better now by God’s grace”, he said.
Remi Tinubu, the first lady and Nana Shettima, the wife of the vice president, also visited the ailing actor at the national hospital in Abuja.
They were at the hospital to meet the first baby of the year.
Orji is a prominent name in Nollywood. He is renowned for his roles in films like ‘The Bridge’, ‘Glamour Girls’, and ‘Blood Money’.
The actor has starred in hundreds of movies. Beyond acting, Orji is also a director and film producer.
