Arsenal has confirmed the signing of West Ham midfielder, Declan Rice in an intriguing manner.
In a tweet on Saturday, the English Premier League side used a song by fast-rising Nigerian singer Odumodu Black to accompany the English player’s unveiling video.
The Nigerian singer, who rose to prominence following the release of his hit single “Declan Rice,” is one of the artists nominated for the 2023 headies rookie categories.
Declan Rice insisted on leaving West Ham in order to play at “the very highest level of the game” after his record-breaking £105 million move to Arsenal was finally confirmed.
When the biggest transfer between British clubs was confirmed, the England midfielder, 24, wrote an emotional open letter to Hammers fans, some 10 days after a fee was agreed for him to move to the Emirates Stadium.
When playing at the World Cup last season, Rice talked about his personal goals and stated that he wanted to play in the Champions League. Rice’s ten years at West Ham have come to an end, culminating in his team’s victory in the Europa Conference League last month in Prague.
