Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has celebrated Super Eagles victory over Cameroon at the ongoing 2023 African Cup Nations.
The governor in a post on his official X account praised Victor Osimhen’s effort in the victory.
Sanwo-Olu charged the team to maintain the momentum as they face Angola in the quarterfinals.
He said: “I totally enjoyed the Super Eagles’ incredible display of teamwork and determination tonight against the team from Cameroon.
“From Osimhen’s hard work to Lookman’s brace to Ekong and Bassey’s very solid performances as well as Nwabali’s solidity, kudos to the entire team.
“Onto the quarterfinals! Let’s carry this momentum forward, Super Eagles. Best of luck in the next round, and may our journey in continue to shine bright.”
