Adeboye gets bashing over prayer for Israel, silence on Palestine 

General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has prayed for Israel over the war with Hamas, saying God will grant them victory. 

Adeboye, in a video clip shared on his  X account, said: “Hello my beloved brothers in Israel, I want you to know that we are praying for you, that all members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God all over the world are standing by you at this critical moment.

“The Almighty God, the only one of Israel will give you absolute victory and give you permanent peace from now on in the mighty name of Jesus.”

The Israeli Defence Force (IDF) started pounding Gaza last Saturday after Hamas terrorists launched a surprise attack against the Jewish state,  slaughtering hundreds of Israelis who were observing a holiday. 

In response, Israel declared itself in a state of war and promised to reduce Gaza to rubble.  

Palestinian Christians whom Adeboye didn’t remember in his prayer, are also affected by the bombardment.

According to wikipedia, worldwide, there are nearly one million Palestinian Christians. They make up between 6 to 7 percent of the Palestinian population both at home and in the diaspora. 

On X, reactions have trailed the prayer of Adeboye. 

@NexaBoss said: “There are more Muslims in Israel than Christian’s… Christians are only about 3% of the total population, in Palestine, you have Christian’s who are seriously affected. I wonder who will pray for peace to those Xtians in Palestine…”

@ambalium said: “Matthew 5:44 KJV But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; Daddy, let’s pray for the enemies of Israel too sir that God will touch their hearts and arrest their souls for good, and deal with them if they refuse to repent.”

But @Mayorspesh said: “For people saying rubbish about his statement… Isreal is at war with Hamas terrorist(Palestine) so what did he say wrong when he was praying for peace?”
