Nollywood veteran, Amaechi Muonagor, popularly known as Aguiyi, is battling with kidney disease, diabetes, and stroke, according to a Facebook user, Tony Muonagor, who identified himself as the actor’s cousin.

Tony has disclosed the health struggles of actor Amaechi Muonagor, revealing a recent photo from Nnewi Teaching Hospital. The 61-year-old star of the 2021 remake, Aki and Pawpaw, is grappling with stroke and kidney disease, complicating his longstanding battle with diabetes.

Tony initially aimed for discreet support but chose transparency to clarify Amaechi’s situation for friends and fans. Currently undergoing weekly dialysis at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital Nnewi, Amaechi’s family has borne the financial burden for years, seeking additional assistance due to the escalating health challenges. Positive progress has been made in controlling blood sugar levels, with ongoing treatments requiring sustained funding.
