Clergyman and founder of Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo celebrated his 70th birthday on Friday, September 27, receiving two luxurious Rolls Royce Cullinan as gifts. The occasion was marked by celebrations from his family, friends, and loved ones.
According to businessman Wale Jana, the two Rolls Royce Cullinan were gifted to Oyedepo by Bishop David Ibiyeomie, the founder of Salvation Ministries and Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, the lead pastor of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly aka COZA.
There are speculations that the value of the two Rolls Royces are about N1.5b.
On X, Nigerians have offered their two cents into the Rolls Royce.
Influencer, Daniel Regha says the gift doesn’t sit right.
“It doesn’t sit well. The money used in gifting Bishop Oyedepo a Rolls-Royce should’ve been channeled into projects that benefit the masses in this difficult time. Many are starving and struggling to make ends meet.”
@jiningweye said: “Why not feed 70,000 Nigerians on his 70th birthday? Or distribute 70,000 bags of rice for the same reason? Nigerians are hungry. Same for their church members.”
@eddy4showw said: “No pastor in Nigeria should be driving a car worth that amount, and no pastor should be keeping that amount in their bank account if it’s not money from personal or private businesses. There is hunger in the land , ask yourself what will Jesus do in a situation like this?”
@pol_scientistNG said: “You are just jealous because you can’t afford a N1.5B car and that won’t stop me and my fellow Christians from paying tithe, period.”
