A viral video of students of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) showering one of their lecturers with gifts has got netizens talking.
The video captured the moment when one of the students first handed a bottle water to the lecturer. The excited lecturer accepted it and kept on a desk in front of him. Others started coming out with their little gifts, and within minutes, the desk was full with various gift items.
The lecturer, Dr. Olagunju, was overwhelmed by the outpouring of love.
The video was shared on TikTok by user #doxaleey with the caption, “We wanted to express our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Olagunju for his exceptional dedication and hard work this semester, and we couldn’t come up with a better idea than this.
“Despite the challenges of teaching Parts 1-4 alone, Dr. Olagunju has consistently demonstrated his commitment to our education and well-being. His efforts have not gone unnoticed, and we’re deeply appreciative of the positive impact he’s had on our learning experience.
“We’re grateful to have had the opportunity to show our appreciation today and wish we could do more to express our thanks. Sir, we love you, Dr. Olagunju.”
